Stories is a great way for you to connect with your followers, but sometimes it can be a struggle to get people to actually watch your stories, so follow these five tips to entice your audience and get more views:
#1 Be Authentic
Show real-time moments from your day. Stories content doesn’t have to be polished, so show a little behind the scenes snippets from your day, but keep it real. People are naturally nosy and like to get to know more about the person behind the brand/business.
#2 Use Captions
It’s been said that up to 85% of people who watch stories have their phone on silent, so when you share a video make sure you caption it or add subtitles, so your followers don’t miss out on your content and simply swipe past.
#3 Use a Hook
Provide context and use a hook. Even if you’re using captions, make sure you give context around what you’re sharing by adding text to the first clip of the story (this is the hook). This will help you to capture the attention of your audience and inform and entice them to carry on watching and not swipe to the next story.
#4 Use Stickers
Use the sticker options to interact and engage with your audience and spark a conversation. Using stickers such as polls, quizzes, sliders or question boxes is a good way to get to know more about your followers and build a community.
#5 Add Value
Don’t just sell, remember to add value through engaging, fun, informational and interesting content that is relevant to your audience. Remember you want your followers to look out for your stories, not swipe past it.
